Admissions
The admission process at Atlantic Business College is fairly simple and straight-forward. We are here to assist you with achieving your educational goals.
All applications are received by Atlantic Business College’s Administration office on a first-come-first-serve basis and are automatically entered into ABC’s database. Applicants will receive an automated initial email response indicating that their application has been received.
Another email will follow shortly thereafter from the admissions department outlining the remaining documents required in order to complete the application process.
Much of Atlantic Business College’s correspondence with applicants and students is through email or text messaging.

The college offers individuals the opportunity to apply as a Mature Student* and also seek Transfer Credits** towards coursework already completed. Please review this information prior to applying for admission.
- Mature Student*
Individuals who may not have completed their high school education but, are at least 28 years of age, may apply under the Mature Student status. In lieu of high school, GED, or Adult Education transcripts, ABC will accept a detailed resume outlining your career accomplishments. - Transfer Credit**
Individuals that have completed prior credits at a recognized post-secondary institution, may request a review of courses for possible transfer credits. ABC requires official transcripts along with detailed course outlines of those courses the individual is seeking credit for.
Canadian Residents
Along with transcripts from either, high school, GED, or Adult Diploma, the following are additional requirements for individual programs:

| Policing & Security Foundations | - Medical Clearance - Criminal Records Check - no criminal conviction of guilt - Minimum 18 years of age: Provincial licensing requirement of 19 yrs old - 3 Letters of Reference: non-family members - CPR & First Aid training: Must be completed prior to graduation |
International Students
In addition to the general admissions criteria , the following documentation is required in order to process applications for admission.
Students applying for a full-time program must have a current and valid Student Visa. Visit http://www.cic.gc.ca to read about studying in Canada.
- Confirmation of high school diploma.
- Picture Identification - your passport is acceptable.
- If English is not your first language, a transcript to show proof of your level of English studies is required. There are a number of recognized language tests that Atlantic Business College will recognize; please contact our Admissions Office for further information.
