Admission Requirements

  • Successful completion of High School Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Those applying as a mature student must be at least 28 years of age – Must provide a detailed resume outlining experience and qualifications

In addition to the Common Core course required to complete the program, the following are specific courses pertaining to the Marketing program.

Marketing 2090
Marketing introduces you to the essentials of marketing (key concepts, methods of analysis, strategies and tactics) critical to managing profitable customer relationships in today’s dynamic and connected environment.

Marketing 3180
This segment of the course is more project based than the Marketing 1090 and will require students to create and illustrate a complete marketing plan to demonstrate their knowledge of the subject matter.

Customer Sales and Service 2045
This course will provide students with the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge, and confidence to enter into a rewarding career of customer sales based upon relationship selling.

Business Presentations 2045
The ability to present ideas and concepts to a group in a professional, engaging and informative manner is the focus of this course.  Beginning with brief presentations, students will build confidence and methods to successfully complete their final 10-minute presentation.

Advanced Access 2045
Students will be able to modify databases to improve efficiency including validation rules and input masks; produce and format/modify sub reports within reports, sub forms within forms, perform update, delete, crosstab and parameter queries.

Advance Excel 2090
This course is designed to give students an understanding of how an electronic spreadsheet can make office productivity more effective by creating formulas, creating charts, and enhancing the worksheet attractively.

Event Coordination 3045
This course will examine the full event planning process and provide the tools and strategies to effectively organize, implement, and monitor all the products, services, and service providers that will bring an event to life.

Desktop Publishing 2045
Desktop Publishing (also known as DTP) combines a personal computer and WYSISYG (what you use is what you get) page layout software to create publication documents on a computer for both large and small scale local output and distribution.  Topics covered include Colour Theory, Typography, Spacing and the use of desktop publishing software.
