Admission Requirements
- Successful completion of High School Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Those applying as a mature student must be at least 28 years of age – Must provide a detailed resume outlining experience and qualifications.
In addition to the Common Core courses required to complete the program, the following are specific courses pertaining to the Entrepreneurship program.
Customer Sales and Service 2045
This course will provide students with the opportunity to acquire the skills, knowledge and confidence to enter into a rewarding career of customer sales based upon relationship selling
Business Presentations 2045
The ability to present ideas and concepts to a group in a professional, engaging and informative manner is the focus of this course. Beginning with brief presentations, students will build confidence and methods to successfully complete their final 10- minute presentation.
Entrepreneurship 1135
Upon completion of this course, the student will have an understanding of the different types of businesses, what is involved in opening a business, and decide whether this is a viable option for them.
Marketing 2090
Marketing introduces you to the essentials of marketing (key concepts, methods of analysis, strategies and tactics) critical to managing profitable customer relationships in today’s dynamic and connected environment.
Business Plan 2090
Upon completion of this course, students will have created a professional and comprehensive Business Plan. Students will be given guidelines for plan creation, directed to necessary resources and guided individually through the process.
Introduction to Payroll Administration 2045
Payroll is one of the most important responsibilities of a business. Students completing this course will be capable of handling all forms, accounting entries and requirements of payroll legislation from the hiring of a new employee to the final record of employment.
Income Tax Preparation 2045
All Canadian citizens who earn income must file an income tax return annually. This course prepares students to complete comprehensive tax returns for individuals and small businesses both manually and electronically.
