used in the workforce today. Students may pay for courses individually (
schedule here for 2010) and still receive a diploma by successfully completing a proficiency test in any course.

Keyboarding Skill Development
Speed and accuracy are emphasized in this course to refine or enhance keyboarding skills

Windows / Outlook
File and folder management, accessories, disk organization, and advanced searches are covered in Windows XP. The Outlook segment of this course concentrates on composing, replying, and forwarding email; attaching files, and creating advanced signatures. Outlook also covers scheduling appointments and prioritizing tasks.

Microsoft Word
The preparation and production of text documents such as letters, memorandums and reports. Students will learn techniques of creating, editing and formatting a word document, creating a multiple page report, desktop publishing a newsletter, creating styles, outlines, tables and tables of contents, creating form letters and mailing labels, and integrating Word with other programs and with the World Wide Web. Web Design is an introduction to create a useful and user-friendly web page.

Microsoft Excel
Analyze numbers with worksheets (spreadsheets) and charts. Create financial budgets, reports, and a variety of other forms. Students will develop professional looking worksheets and charts using various tools and formatting options.

Microsoft Access
Database management capabilities, enabling you to store and retrieve large amounts of data. You can also query (search) the database to answer specific questions. Creating, modifying, copying, updating, and querying a database, as well as, creating forms and reports will be covered.

Create presentations using a collection of slides containing text, graphics, charts, audio, and video.

Accounting
Accounting from basic concepts of journals, ledgers, and month-end to more advanced concepts of cash and internal control, detailed payroll keeping, and collection and remittance of sales tax (HST).

Design, creation, implementation, and daily use are all covered in this course. Simply by Sage will be covered in detail in this course giving the student an excellent knowledge of the capabilities of computerized accounting packages available today.
